You can't pour from an empty cup
Some of us love to help but forget we can't always be doing that. We can't stop ourselves from doing that and I guess nature is like that. It doesn't have balance at times. There's little to no warning.
We forget that it's ok to sit down and fix ourselves. It's in your nature to want to help but do you have enough resources?
Stop draining yourself trying to please the next person. We still need To be there for ourselves. Life is challenging and one should be prepared. You can say what you want but remember that can't pour from an empty cup.
You need to prioritize yourself before you can attend another one. We are all going through something. We might not share but there is something dealing with us. Remember to fix yourself. Be careful what you pour to the next person. It can harmful or good. You can easily plant a seed and watch it grow or you can simply just let it die under your watch. People can learn from you. They do not have to also take you as a person. Share your knowledge and love in manageable quantities.
Pouring from an empty cup means you are sharing useless knowledge and qualities to the next person. There is not good coming from that. You are not only draining yourself but next those your are Pouring to.
We start to see you as a poison instead of an antidote. You can try to lie to us however you want but don't like to yourself. Fix yourself and refuse to be a toxic being.
It's ok not to be ok. We can't always remain calm have. I've written previously about seasons and we must remember, there are seasons of giving and there seasons of resting. Even with fruits they have their seasons. They are not always available. We are constantly working on ourselves. Self-awareness is very important.
We should prioritize ourselves more and share the good qualities when we are ready.
It's so beautiful to heal, refuel and share the beautiful parts. Share the parts that will build those around you. Share the parts that will motivate those around you to pass to other people. Be the positive cup that others will gain great knowledge from. You must know right or wrong.
